In 2014, Sustainable Community Project organized the training course for 42 villagers from six villages of Peak Sneng Commune, Angkor Thom District, Siem Reap Province. This training course aimed to promote;
1. The Organic Farming and Gardening in communities because the organic vegetables, herbs, rice, fruit trees, and organic food is the most important for ensuring the human being health and growth.
2. To reduce the usage of chemical fertilizer in farming and gardening by preparing the compost heap or organic fertilizer for applying in the farming or gardening.
3. To apply new technique to gardening and farming which can be more effective and efficiency of using their land. The activities of farming and gardening with technical practice will be more effective because it can same time, seeds, money, and resources but can make more profit.
4. To restructure the soil or land to be more healthy for agricultural site for the community because most of the land are destroy by chemical usage of the farmers and gardeners who have every low understanding the disadvantages of chemical inland pollution, water pollution, air pollution, and also the environment pollution that will bad impact to human health and growth.
This course focused on gardening because we hold it in the dry season so, we let them know how to grow any vegetables, herbs, and fruit trees around the houses or d=gardens to make money for improving their family economic and support their families.
