Sustainable Community Project-SCP is one of five projects of Life and Hope Association which mainly focus on serving poor children and families in community that now this project strongly running in six villages at Peak Sneng Commune, Angkor Thom District by providing monthly food support, School Uniform, Study Materials and Equipment, Microloan, Community Education, and short course training on Agricultural Technique, How to run Home Business, How to Start Home Garden and others. It was started in 2005
Our Food Provision has always conducted on 25th of each month but sometimes changed because on those dates were one Saturday or Sunday or Pubic Holiday. We provide food to families in order to make an investment between the poor families and life and Hope Association for creating the opportunity to their children meant we provided food to families but families need to send their children to school. Why? Because we absolutely believe that EDUCATION is the most powerful weapon to end the cycle of poverty and suffering. Poor families and children have been suffered for many years because of poverty. So we need to help them to break this cycle by creating more opportunity to them for getting a good education.
Our School Uniform, Study Material, and Equipment supports are motivate children love their education and to build comfortable environment for their study as well because they can not go to school without books, pens, pencils, uniform, and equipment.
Our Microloan is for the encouragement all families to create home business and home garden to make more income for improving their families economic and support their children education and life.
The training course and community education are for giving the families on the basic knowledge and skill for usage their loan to apply in daily activities of economics to strengthen family economic and happiness.
Children are our HOPE of modernized, peaceful, harmonious, and civilizational future.
